We are living on the country side, 35 km from Helsinki, in a big lake
house with lovely surroundings. Our cats can freely choose to go out
when ever they feel so, we have a large cat enclosure for them. But only
the real cowboys choose to go out on winter times…other ones are
enjoying the heat of sauna and fireplace!
How it all begin…
Animals have always been a part of my life. Most of my earliest memories
have something to do with animals: trying to catch them, make friends
with the wild ones, trying to rescue them…I think I made my people to go
nuts being so stubborn. I got my first cat (stolen from the neighbours
cat mother) at the year of 3, nobody could bear to listen my scream…
The first contact with oriental cats
I was felling in love first with the Cinnamon oriental long hair on the
cat book picture. Well, the real love hit me at the Cat show 2000, I
found my Pipsa. It is not so long time ago, but as you all, who have
experienced the Oriental and Siamese cats, know, 1 is never enough!
I still have a dream about the cinnamon colour…
The first litter
We had all the problems one could imagine. False pregnancies, pyometra
infections, antibiotics and hormones…”it is a miracle that she got
pregnant” said our trusted vet after the happy news. As I'm studying
alternative medicin, homeopathy for animals, we used also this healing
medicine together with osteopathy, maybe it helped?
It is a long and sad story, the real nightmare for a beginner, but now
afterwards, we can say that we have learned a lot, if not yet all!!
And the more loved end praised is our first born , Justina, who of
course stayed with us, and will be our queen forever!
